Asian countries have a vast variety of dishes that a lot of people do not know how to make. I compiled a few desserts from a few Eastern Asian countries for people to try out!

South Korea - Hotteok

Hotteok is a Korean Pancake that is very popular during the winter. It is quick and simple and very delicious.

Vietnam - Che Bap

Che is a very popular Vietnamese dessert/ beverage. There are many types of Che, but it is usually made up of fruits and some coconut milk. It can be served hot or cold. This recipe is called Che Bap which is Sweet Corn Pudding.

Japan - Pon de Ring

Pon de Ring is Japanese Mochi Donuts in the shape of....a ring. Mochi is a very famous dessert in Japan. There are many different types and fillings. What is better than Mochi?....Fried Mochi!!!

Philippines - Turon

Turon is a very simple and quick dessert. Basically a banana eggroll. Don't look down on this dish though because whoever came up with this is a genius!

Thailand - Khanom Krok

Khanom Krok is Thailand's coconut pancakes. Coconut is a must in many Asian desserts. It's creamy, sweet, and so fragrant. It goes with so many things. These mini pancakes are to die for and you must try at least once. It's a bit of work compared to other recipes, but trust me it's worth it.

China - Dan Tat

Dan Tat is Chinese Egg Tart. You must have had egg tart before because it is sold in a lot of places. Crunchy and flaky on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. It is so worth all the hard work!

Malaysia - Apam Balik

Apam is Malaysia's fluffy pancake filled with cream corn and peanuts. I know, I know....so many PANCAKES!!! Trust me these 'pancakes' are all different. We just don't know what to call it so 'pancakes' it is. :D
