Turon

Turon is a Philippines dessert and is basically a banana eggroll.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 saba bananas (you can use regular ones as well)
  • 1 cup jackfruit
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ~ 15 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cooking oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. According to the size of the bananas, leave it or cut it in 2. Then split it into halves.

  2. Cut the jackfruit into strips.

  3. Put cooking oil into a pot/pan and let it warm up.

  4. Put an eggroll wrapper on a flat surface.

  5. Take a piece of banana and dip it into the bowl of sugar. Making sure to coat all sides. Put both the banana and strips of jackfruit on the eggroll wrapper.

  6. Roll up the Turon.

  7. Drop it gently into the oil and deep-fry till golden. (Be careful as the fruit juices will make the oil go crazy)

  8. Serve and Enjoy!
